Everything's gone green

I finally decided it was time for a change at Section6. No more space bog theme. Now everything has gone green! I hoping for a more fresh look this way, obviously things are lining up a bit better too. Also I took the forums down because frankly, no one really uses them. I plan on bringing at least anonymous comments back but using captcha, but I'll have to wait for it to be released for this cms. There hasn't been much content here in a while, but I have few more things I want to add. Namely, using postfix with ldap exclusively instead of a passwd file.

The concept of open source

The concept of open source and free sharing of technological information has existed long before computers existed. There is open source pertaining to businesses and there is open source pertaining to computers,SY0-101 software, and technology. In the early years of automobile development, a group of capital monopolists owned the rights to a 2 cycle gasoline engine patent originally filed by George B. Selden.By controlling this patent, they were able to monopolize the industry and force car manufacturers to adhere to their demands, or risk a lawsuit. In 1911,E20-340 independent automaker Henry Ford won a challenge to the Selden patent. The result was that the Selden patent became virtually worthless and a new association (which would eventually become the Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association) was formed. The new association instituted a cross-licensing agreement among all US auto manufacturers: although each company would develop technology and file patents, these patents were shared openly and without the exchange of money between all the manufacturers. Up to the point where the US entered World War II, 92 Ford patents were being used freely by other manufacturers and were in turn making use of 515 patents from other companies, 312-50 all without lawsuits or the exchange of any money.

PLease stop.

Two years ago, you guys (specifically some Tbonius) stole my article about the linux boot. It's still in your site, and still atributed to TBonius. I complained in your forums, and you did nothing. The article is free content, but it's not fre for you guys to claim as your own. Please take it down, or attribute it correctly. Here's the original: http://lateral.blogsite.org/stories/23.html Here's your stolen copy (minus the joke at the beginning): http://www.section6.net/wiki/index.php/The_Linux_Kernel_Boot_Process Really, guys, how lame is that?

Really lame. I'll agree. I

Really lame. I'll agree. I take responsibility for this. I've been really busy lately, and have taken some time over the last few days to clean up. This and other articles have been taken down. Also Tbonius isn't going to be able to post anymore until he understands the difference between plagerization and copying and original work. Also note to everyone, I e-mailed Roberto a formal apology after taking his content down. My sincerest apologies. I did a lot of cleanup today to take copyrighted content off but if anyone notices anything PLEASE you can e-mail me at abuse at section6 d0t net for these matters and it will get my prompt attention.
