Can't find a tutorial

Hey guys! It's me again :P I'm just wondering if you forgot to make a link in the new tutorials page to the "Setting up OpenLDAP with MySQL backend" tutorial. I bookmarked it yesterday and wanted to try it out today, but can't find it anymore. The old link was http://www.section6.net/help/openldap.php. Cheers, Peter

Great Stuff....Its a really

Great Stuff....Its a really very unique and informative.

Re: Can't find a tutorial

I could resurrect it but it was taken down for the following reasons: -The tutorial works up till the end where you try to run ldap. -mysql is much less efficient than the standard bdb backend. That said I think a mysql backend is supposed to be for a backup ldap server only. If your purpose is to make a primary ldap server with a mysql backend you're going to have a hard time. If you still want I'll post it in the forums, but I'll be keeping it out of the tutorials.

Thanks

Thanks for your reply. There's no need to post it, I took it from the google cache and saved it on my hard drive for reference. Well, if you say mysql backend is not that efficient, then maybe I'll try it for practice, then restore my system from backups. What I'm trying to do is "migrate" a Windows 2003 Server AD to FreeBSD, preserving as much functionality as I can. So far I am researching Samba3 and OpenLDAP to see how I can accomplish this, and your site helped alot to get me started. But LDAP is still a mistery to me, so there's much more reading to do :) Again, thanks for a great site! Cheers, Galanton Peter

One of the clearest lessons

One of the clearest lessons of the last few decades is that capitalism is indestructible. Marx compared it to a vampire, and one of the salient points of itil v3 dumps comparison now appears to be that test king cisco always rise up again after being stabbed to death. Even Mao’s attempt, in the Cultural Revolution, to wipe out the traces of capitalism, ended up in its triumphant return 70-620 braindump. Today’s Left reacts in a wide variety of ways to the hegemony of global capitalism and its political supplement, liberal democracy. It might, for example, accept the hegemony linux+, but continue to fight for reform within its rules (this is Third Way social democracy).
